PORTUGUESE NIGHT @GIMLE

On monday we all had the pleasure to attend to the 1st International Café at GIMLE. The country that was organising? Portugal. I should ask the Portuguese girls what were the name of the dishes we've been eating... An exquisite salad, different kinds of olives of different colours, it was you know like fireworks of olives, and most of all, some shrimp doughnuts (not sure about the name)… I still have the taste in mouth! We also got some Portuguese alcohol, Porto, some red one, and some white. Maybe not enough but the good thing was that we had some beers (half a litter) for 20dkk so that a few student including me, got drunk.

The party in itself, well, just an average exchange students party, it was raining outside but burning inside. International parties are like those five scoops ice creams you can buy here : colours everywhere. Languages everywhere, English mixed with Espanol, Italiano, Français, Deutsch... It was just WOW, like the smiley who has rainbow stars instead of eyes. We’ve been dancing on “Voyage Voyage”, I tried to make my friends dance the Tektonik but as I quite cannot dance it myself it hasn’t been a success. Lithuania beat France in the Basketball Euro ’07… So the Lithuanian guys mocked me. An Iranian girl told us that she was feeling sceptic about the film Persepolis, but what she described about the life in her country made me feel happy to live in France.

Too drunk, I decided to stop drinking and to go back home. I just ate mushrooms in the common kitchen and then went to bed. It still was raining outside.
